E Scourti || As the non-world falls away

E Scourti is an artist and writer living between Athens and London, working with the scraps and leftovers of everyday archives, routines and obsessions. Their first poetry pamphlet, No to Self, is out with Veer 2.

As the non-world falls away was written out of scanned images of Scourti’s notebooks, converted into digital text and collaged together on their phone.

Written in English and Greek, the poems explore labour, gentrification, mistranslation, living in linguistic and cultural in-betweens, gender becoming as well as feeling states of desire, yearning and (occasional) hope.

The images included are created in the same way as the texts and echo their material and form, acting also as breaks/ gaps between poems.
